Measures approx. 5.5" long (at base) x 4.25" wide (at base) and 4.5" tall. Very good vintage condition. Antique Cambridge Girl 'Blushing Charlotte' Uranium Glass Flower Frog
Antique Cambridge Girl - 'Blushing Charlotte' Uranium Glass Flower frog - Dimensions are ; 8 1/8" high , with a base diameter of 4 1/8" . Maker is Cambridge Glass . Froggers have long enjoyed popularity as a way to stand each individual flower in one of the holes provided while in either a bowl or vase. This 'Frogger' accommodates 10 flower stems. Very in fashion in the 20's and 30's this beautiful pristine example is of the classic Art Deco period. It is of a young girl hands and arms covering her torso , adopting a shy 'blush' as the wrap slips from her bottom. Oh , yes - and it's Uranium glass , or 'Vaseline glass' - it was made with a very tiny amount of uranium and thus glows under black light creating a persistent phosphorescence ( see photos ) . A cool objet d'Art even without flowers. This is a highly collectible little piece. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
